Lead Montessori Teacher – 3 Positions

We seek full Time Montessori Lead Teachers to take over our 3 -6 year classrooms in Long Beach CA. You must be a self-starter, have leadership qualities, be able to plan and carry out lesson plans that successfully challenge the children from ages

3-6 years on an academic level, have great attitude and of course love children


Employment will commence on November 1st 2022


JOB REQUIREMENTS


  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Montessori Teaching Environment is essential
  • Montessori Certification (AMI/AMS/ NAMC training)
  • A good working knowledge of Technology
  • Must have a minimum of 06 child development units with CPR & First Aid certification
  • Have TB Clearance and vaccine for Tdap, MMR, influenza and pertussis
  • Mandated Reporter certification

Assistant Teachers – 4 Positions

Responsible for assisting the Lead Teacher in developing and implementing a program of activities that promotes the social, emotional and physical development of each child enrolled in a group in accordance with Title 22 Performance Standards. The duties and responsibilities will be carried out under the direction of the Lead Teacher.


RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES


  • Assist Lead Teacher in maintaining records on each child’s progress and development for the purpose of planning
  • Responsible for assisting the teacher with the daily routine Title 22 standards, policies and procedures, regulations and guidelines in the day-to-day operation of an early childhood development center (2 - 6 years of age) including developmentally appropriate practices
  • Participate in staff meetings, center activities, and staff development.
  • Maintain a well-organized, safe and attractive classroom environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children.
  • Develop a positive relationship with each child and promote the development of self-esteem and self-discipline.
  • Assist Montessori Lead Teacher in planning and implementing the daily program of activities based on principles of child development and in accordance with the program’s curriculum
  • Observe each child daily to assess skills, interests, and needs and use this information to facilitate learning and growth.
  • Establish a positive relationship with each child’s family and share information about the child’s day at the Center.
  • Perform other duties as required or assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS


  • Must Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a high school degree or equivalent education
  • Have at least 2 years of experience working with children and/or a certificate in early childhood education or currently working towards the completion of one
  • Submit to various background checks
  • Be CPR, First Aid certified or obtain certification upon hire Complete a Tuberculosis test and physical and provide a physician’s documentation of both
  • Be mentally and physically capable of caring for a large group of children alone in a classroom
  • Possess a strong work ethic, be punctual, and have minimal absences
  • Have an awareness of the unique needs of young children and have appropriate expectations of their abilities
  • Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 70lbs
