Savitri Abeyawardene
Founder – Little Angels Preschools
Hello, my name is Savitri Abeyawardene, better known as Savi. I have been in the early childhood education field for over 20 years. I possess a bachelor’s degree in science and a “Diploma in Montessori Method of Education” along with my early childhood education units. I have been a Preschool Teacher in private schools for over 20 years.
It has always been my passion to serve children. Together with my daughter and husband, we bring with us our core values to the school which are academic excellence, discipline, independence, respect & responsibility. We will always endeavor to inculcate these values to your child’s education and ensure that they face the world as independent and responsible individuals because it gives us so much joy and happiness to see its impact on a child’s life, which is very rewarding.

Dear families, thank you for your interest in Little Angels Montessori school. After the birth of my daughter in 2010, I decided to enroll her into a “Montessori School” in Sri Lanka, which is my home country. As I watched my daughter gain self – confidence and independence I developed a keen interest in learning the Montessori method of Education. I went onto earn my Diploma in Montessori Method of education with Honors and started working as a “Montessori Guide” thereafter.
After my immigration to USA in 2013, I worked as a Montessori Guide, and later as an Assistant Director until March 2017. In 2017 March I along with my mother opened the first Montessori school in Carson, CA.
The valuable knowledge I gained through earning my BA Degree in Business Administration and the M. Ed in Educational Business Administration, gave me courage and confidence to pursue in this journey.
I take much pride in working with my mother, and as it has always been my ambition and dream to open my own Montessori school, which has now become a reality with the support of my family and friends.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child during his /her formative years. The values and discipline that’s taught under the Montessori philosophy will be with your child for the rest of his/her life. I look forward to working with you and your child.
